Los Angeles County
Office of the Los Angeles County Surveyor (Public Works)
- Survey records, with documents
- Records of Survey; Parcel Maps; Tract Maps; Corner Records
- Linked, not downloaded
- Benchmark/Baseline/Quad. The county publishes each benchmark as a page of its own, not a document; the link to that page is kept.
- Other survey records
- Road/Public Works Centerline; County Engineer Centerline
- Assessor’s map page
- Collected as a file.
- Zoning
- In the City of Los Angeles, the City’s zoning and overlay data (ZIMAS). In unincorporated areas, the County’s zoning and overlays (Z-NET). In the county’s other cities, zoning is not collected.
- Building footprints
- Published. They are drawn in the CAD file and stand in the 3D model.
- Terrain
- NOAA lidar elevation, as contours and a surface.
- Coordinates
- State Plane CA Zone 5 (EPSG:2229), US survey feet.
- In the City of Los Angeles
- The City’s survey control points with their field-book pages, and the City map layers its service publishes under a verified name — easements, rights-of-way, sewers and storm drains among them — as a CAD drawing with its layers. Which layers a property gets depends on what the City’s service publishes that day, and the package says how many it did not serve. City of Los Angeles properties only.
- In these other cities
- The city’s own centerline ties or survey records, listed and linked to the city’s site: Azusa, Burbank, Culver City, Glendale, San Gabriel, San Marino, Santa Monica, Signal Hill, Torrance.
- Last checked
- Los Angeles County is not part of the nine counties’ source check. A run reports what each service answered that day.
